The Pentagon says that 2 US service members had been killed during an operation in Afghanistan.
According to the U.S. and NATO Resolute Support mission the US soldiers were killed while conducting an operation on March 22. The names of the service members killed in action have ot been revealed yet.
The statement didn’t specify the location of the incident or say who the soldiers were fighting. However, most likely they died in one of multiple clashes with the Taliban, which appear across Afghanistan on a regular basis.
There are about 14,000 U.S. forces in Afghanistan, supporting Kabul government forces.
