On April 30th, a Ukrainian aircraft attempted to break into the Russian Bryansk region. the attack of the oil loading terminal located near the village of Zhecha in the Starodubsky district.
Russian air defense means prevented the attack of a Ukrainian aircraft. According to the governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, two shells exploded near the village. One blast wave damaged the lining of the technological building of the oil terminal. The second shell fell on the adjacent territory, leaving a crater after the explosion. No victims were reported as a result of the incident.
“This morning, at 6.50, the Russian air defense means detected the aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When performing actions aimed at preventing the penetration of the object into the territory of the Russian Federation, 2 shells hit the settlement of Zhecha in the Starodubsky district.” – the report reads.
The oil loading terminal in the village of Zhecha in the Starodubsky district is one of the largest investment projects in the Bryansk region. The oil loading terminal is located near the railway station and is intended for the supply of oil to Russia, the Republic of Belarus, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe by freight trains.
Earlier, on April 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes on civilian and military infrastructure located in Russia’s Bryansk Region. The Druzhba oil depot near Bryansk was engulfed in flames.
