The Avante 2200 is a corvette designed and built by Spanish shipbuilder Navantia. The warship is primarily used for surveillance and protection of exclusive economic zones (EEZs). Saudi Arabia ordered 5 Avante 2200 warships for its navy. The first one was launched on July 22. The warship is expected to enter service with the Saudi Navy in 2021.
