Despite high-level talks between Presidents Putin and Trump, Russian forces conducted another series of precision strikes across Ukraine overnight, demonstrating Moscow’s ability to sustain military operations while engaging in diplomacy. The attacks focused on military infrastructure, command centers, and foreign mercenary positions.
According to the Ukrainian military, in total, a barrage of 85 Geran-type attack drones accompanied by decoy UAVs and an Iskander-M ballistic missile were launched, with Ukrainian air defense allegedly managed to intercept 61 targets. However, successful strikes were recorded at multiple locations, inflicting significant damage on Ukrainian military capabilities.
In Raiske, DPR, Russian loitering munitions destroyed a repurposed community center serving as a temporary base for Ukraine’s 92nd Mechanized Brigade. The attack wiped out critical communications equipment including Motorola and Harris systems along with substantial ammunition stores, while eliminating several personnel including communications specialists. Nearby residential areas suffered collateral damage when a house storing mortar rounds detonated.
The town of Dobropillia saw its Ukrainian territorial defense headquarters struck, with the attack destroying several vehicles used for troop transport along with advanced anti-tank and anti-aircraft systems including Javelin, NLAW and Stinger missiles. Casualties included multiple defense force members with several more wounded.
A separate strike in Belozerske targeted a crucial drone operations center, igniting a massive fire that consumed the facility along with its inventory of DJI and Autel drones, Starlink terminals, and specialized computing equipment. Several drone operators sustained severe injuries in the blast.
These precision strikes systematically degraded Ukraine’s command and logistics networks in the Pokrovsk-Druzhkovka operational area, eliminating communications hubs, weapons depots, and drone capabilities.
Near Volchansk, Kharkiv region, Russian drones reportedly destroyed the “Golden Coast” hotel complex being used as a temporary base by Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries. The facility, which also served as a drone command post, was completely consumed by fires visible on NASA’s satellite monitoring systems.
