On the evening of September 26, Russian forces repelled another missile attack on the Crimean peninsula. So far, at least two Storm Shadow cruise missiles launched from the Su-24M bombers reportedly targeted the city of Sevastopol in the west. The towns of Dzhankoy in the north and Gvardeiskoe in the center were also targeted by the Ukrainian military.
According to preliminary reports, one of the missiles was destroyed near the Belbek airfield near Sevastopol by the Russian 31st Division of the Air Defense Force. Another cruise missile was shot down near the Cossack Bay on the outskirts of the city.
Two more targets were intercepted over the town of Dzhankoi and the village of Gvardeiskoe located on the outskirts of Simferopol. The origin of the missiles is yet to be clarified by the local sources.
More Ukrainian strikes may be launched on the Crimean peninsula in the coming hours.

Meanwhile, Russian forces are intercepting Ukrainian UAVs over the Russian territory. On the evening of September 25, at least 7 UAVs have been shot down over the Belgorod region and 4 drones intercepted over the Kursk region so far.
