An explosion has occurred at Flamanville Nuclear Power Plant in northwestern France, local media reported citing officials.
The incident took place in an engine room at 10:00 local time.
At least 5 people have been injured inhaling the fumes caused by the blast, AFP reports citing sources in the prefecture.
Media reports say that the local prefecture argues there is no nuclear risk for locals.
