Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief on October 21 warned that the Islamic Republic would “open the gates of hell” on Israel if it attacks again.
Maj. Gen. Mohammad Pakpour made the warning during a meeting with Iraqi National Security Adviser Qasim al‑Araji, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.
“The Zionist enemy relies heavily on its missile shield, and the Americans have deployed THAAD and Aegis systems at sea and in neighboring countries to stop our launches, we nevertheless launched our missiles successfully and hit the targets we had precisely identified,” the commander-in-chief of the IRGC said.
“Today we are at the highest level of readiness, and if anyone dares to attack our country, our response will certainly be stronger than the 12-day war, and we will make them a hell they will not forget,” he added.
The war broke out on June 13, when Israel launched a surprise attack against Iran’s nuclear program. The fighting ended when a ceasefire was suddenly announced on June 24, just two days after the United States joined Israel by attacking three key nuclear sites in the Islamic Republic.
The Israeli attack on Iran claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people. Iran retaliated with a series of deadly ballistic missile attacks that killed 28 people in Israel.
Since the end of the war, the Islamic Republic has been working to boost its military capabilities. On October 18, the IRGC unveiled upgraded versions of two of its homegrown ballistic missiles, along with overhauled launchers that were damaged during the 12-day war.
The missiles and launchers, belonging to the IRGC’s Aerospace Forces, were revealed in a video report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting showcasing two of the guards’ missile bases.
The upgraded ballistic missiles were identified as Emad and Qadr during the report, which said the latter has been equipped with anti-electronic warfare equipment.
The report quoted an unnamed senior commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force as saying that the force’s missile power is “increasing every hour” and the newly upgraded missiles delivered to the force are mounted on launchers, ready to be fired once an order is given.
The last few months saw no escalation against Iran by Israel or the U.S. However, both countries made unusual military moves recently.
The U.S. deployed dozens of aerial tankers between Europe and the Middle East, while Israel has been bolstering its air defenses and its air forces is becoming more and more active over Syria, which was used as a path way during the last war on Iran.
The recent remarks by the IRGC chief indicate that Iran is well aware that a surprise attack by Israel and the U.S. is highly-likely.

we’ve heard all this before. i wouldn’t reveal anything. iran has a horrible deterrence policy that doesn’t work. they reveal too much thinking it will stop this enemy (israel/nato). don’t show them anything. let them find out the hard way and just be prepared and have your own nukes on standby ready to go. why agree to their terms and be sanctioned anyway? you may as well not agree to their terms and inspections and develop nukes if you’re going to be sanctioned anyway.

i guess iran must continue improving their missiles and the r&d to improve their capabilities. also iran as a lack of air superiority fight power, and you cannot allow israel or usa to flown over your capitol as they did a few months ago. iran must survive! iran must prevail against the exceptionals breed, the exceptionalism of the empire that conquer and slave everyone.
