On January 24, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
12 of the videos show a series of drone attacks that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, including other drones, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
Two more video shows two separate attacks with Geran-type fixed-wing suicide drones. The first attack targeted two helicopters, a Mi-24 and a Mi-8, of Kiev forces near the settlement of Mala Vyska in the Kirovohrad direction. The second targeted a power substation supplying Kiev forces near the city of Zaporizhia.
Another video from the Zaporizhia direction shows a series of artillery strikes on positions of Kiev forces in the settlement of Zalishchyno. Krasnopol guided shells were used.
In its daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “storage areas of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles and training sites of UAV operators, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 157 areas” over the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that Russian air defenses intercepted four HIMARS projectiles, and 137 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 110,949 drones, 646 air defense systems, 27,292 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,650 multiple rocket launchers, 32,801 artillery pieces, and 52,675 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
