The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged that two of its soldiers were killed in a Hezbollah attack in southern Lebanon early in the day, marking the first time Israel has confirmed fatalities since the group resumed military operations after the outbreak of the war on Iran.

The two soldiers were reportedly killed near a military post in southern Lebanon, just across from the Israeli border settlement of Manara.

According to a preliminary IDF probe, the incident began when a main battle tank got stuck amid operations in the area. The military sent a Puma armored personnel carrier and two D9 armored bulldozers in an attempt to extract it. One of the D9 bulldozers was, however, struck by a projectile, possibly an anti-tank missile or a mortar, causing a blaze that killed the two troops, the probe said, noting that one officer was also lightly injured in the incident.

One of the slain soldiers was named Sunday afternoon as Sgt. First Class Maher Khatar, from the 91st “Galilee” Regional Division’s combat engineering unit, from the settlement of Majdal Shams which is located in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The name of the second soldier was not released.

Hezbollah intensified rocket and drone attacks over the past 24 hours, hitting targets deep in northern Israel, despite a notable increase in strikes on Lebanon.

After acknowledging the death of the two soldiers, the IDF announced that recent strikes on the country killed five senior commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The strikes were carried out by the Israeli Navy, according to the military, which said in a statement that the commanders who were killed “while hiding in a civilian hotel” in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, served in the IRGC’s Quds Force’s Palestine and Lebanon corps, and were involved in aiding Hezbollah and Hamas with funds and intelligence.

The commanders were identified as: Majid Hassini, a senior moneyman in the Lebanon Corps, who the IDF says was responsible for transferring funds from Iran to proxy groups in Lebanon, including Hezbollah and Hamas; Ali Reza Bi-Azar, chief of intelligence in the Lebanon Corps; Ahmad Rasouli, chief of intelligence in the Palestine Corps; Hossein Ahmadlou, a lower-ranking intelligence operative in the Lebanon Corps, and Abu Muhammad Ali, Hezbollah’s representative in the Palestine Corps.

The IDF said that it had conducted over 600 strikes in Lebanon, using over 820 bombs, after Hezbollah began attacking Israel six days earlier in response to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Among the 200 operatives killed by Israel in Lebanon in the past week, the IDF said, were 80 members of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, 70 Hezbollah artillery operatives, and a number of top commanders, including the chief of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that Israeli strikes killed at least 394 people, including 83 children, over the past week.

no, the jewish supremacists stated very clearly, months ago, that hezbollah had been destroyed. right before they destroyed iran last summer. these claims of active military resistance are simply antisemitic tropes.

civilian

the truth is very ‘antisemitic’ on their terms. wondering why they felt compelled to use that term which was first used that way by nazi ideologist and founder of the thule society rudolf von sebottendorff. why since the beginning they had deals with the nazis? (like the haavara agreement or the rudolf (rezső) kasztner adolf eichmann deal? he prevented the rudolf vrba and weztler report to reach the ears of 200,000 hungarian jews) many stalag survivors abhor what zios are doing now.

they’re waiting on you.

expanzionist narrative is hasbara. would not trust their numbers. the only thing that you can be sure of, is that as long they are led by the same ideology, they will attempt to erase or kill people and grab land. it was the plan even before they set foot on palestine. ‘a land without people for a people without land’. like the colonialist terra nullius concept.
