On January 2, one of Russian missiles accidentally fell in the village of Petropavlovka in the Russian border Voronezh region. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the accident, claiming that an abnormal discharge of ammunition occurred during the flight of a Russian military aircraft over a residential area.
The Russian military did not disclose what kind of ammunition it was or any other details of the incident. The accident result in no casualties. According to the local authorities, at least six private buildings were damaged. An investigation is underway, emergency services are working on the spot.

In April 2023, another Russian missile accidentally fell from the Su-34 aircraft when it was flying over Belgorod. The accident also resulted in no casualties but to some damage to several buildings. Since then, there were reports that seval heavy FAB bombs fell in the Belgorod region; but they were not confirmed by any officials or by any footage.
