Iranian Drones Devastated U.S. Bases In Kuwait Overnight (Videos)

Iran’s Army announced on July 19 that it had launched a large-scale drone attack on the United States’ ammunition depot at al-Adiri Camp, along with a MIM-104 Patriot air defense system and air surveillance radars at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

The Army’s public relations department said al-Adiri Camp, located roughly 104 kilometers from Iran’s borders, serves as a major logistics and force-reconstitution center for American troops, adding that disruptions there would significantly affect American logistical operations across the region.

It described Ali Al Salem Air Base as the main airlift hub and a primary entry point for the deployment of American forces into the region, calling it central to what it termed the “aggressor regime’s” military and logistical strategy there.

The Army also condemned strikes attributed to the U.S. on bridges, infrastructure, and civilian facilities, and denounced the killing of civilians in the conflict.

It said its forces, under the leadership of Iran’s supreme leader and through unity among the armed forces, the public, and the government, would ultimately force what it called the “deceitful enemy” to retreat in defeat.

In a second statement issued later in the day, the Army announced a further round of drone strikes on the same ammunition depot at al-Adiri Camp, as well as on equipment and personnel facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base, again describing the U.S. military presence there as “child-killing.”

The Army framed its campaign as a defense of Iran’s identity and history, saying its soldiers remained committed to defending the Iranian people while standing against what it called the enemies of Iran and humanity.

Kuwait confirmed it had come under attack, with videos posted to social media showing interceptions and impacts across the Gulf state.

Separately, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that its air defenses had shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper combat drone over the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz.

Overnight, another wave of U.S. strikes hit southern and southeastern Iran. One strike hit an area near the city of Shadgan in Khuzestan province, according to provincial security deputy governor Valiollah Hayati, who said the strike caused no casualties but did not provide further details on the target.

Separate strikes reportedly hit Qeshm Island, where residents said three to five missiles struck different areas, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. Explosions were also heard in the nearby port city of Bandar Abbas, though authorities had not yet confirmed the cause or nature of the blasts.

In a statement, Central Command said targets hit during the eighth consecutive night of U.S. strikes on Iran included military coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, maritime capabilities, and missile and drone storage sites.

The strikes also targeted IRGC forces that had launched attacks against U.S. service members in Jordan, according to the command. Two American soldiers were killed and a third went missing in those attacks.

Though still limited in scale, the ongoing confrontation between the U.S. and Iran, which began on July 7, has effectively killed the memorandum of understanding signed by the two sides last month to end the war. The region now stands on the brink of a major conflict — one likely to be unprecedented in scale.
