Jaish al-Islam has released an infographics allegedly showing the losses of government forces in clashes with the militant group in the Eastern Ghota region near Damascus in July.
According to the infographics, Jaish al-Islam killed 114 pro-government fighters, destroyed a battle tank and an armoured vehicle and damaged 3 battle tanks.
The numbers provided in the infographics can be hardly confirmed by videos or photos. However, an intense fighting was ongoing in Eastern Ghouta in July until the Russian-US ceasefire intitiative was implemented in the area.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) is the only group officially excluded from the ceasefire. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham controls a southwestern part of the Eastern Ghouta region.
