Over the past two days, the Ukrainian military attempted several massive drones attacks on the Russian rear areas. The attacks that targeted both military and civilian facilities resulted in failure.
On the night of October 15, dozens of Ukrainian UAVs targeted Russian border regions. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 27 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted by Russian air defense systems on duty tonight. According to the Russian military, 18 UAVs were shot down in the Russian Kursk region and 2 more were intercepted in the Belgorod region. The governor of the Kursk region confirmed the massive attack and reported that the fall of debris was recorded in the city of Kursk and in the village of Zorino.
Any damage to civilian or military infrastructure is yet to be confirmed.
One of the targets of Ukrainian regular attacks in Kursk in the local nuclear power plant, located in the city. Kiev continues attempts to provoke another catastrophe but it’s drones are yet to pass through Russian air defenses.
On October 14, the Ukrainian military also attempted a massive attack on the Russian Krasnodar region. Six Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the Black Sea near the city of Sochi, where a large international airport is located. The attack also resulted in no damage.
In recent days, air alert was also regularly reported in the city of Sevastopol in Crimea. Local residents report on the work of the air defense. However, there was no official data on the destroyed targets.
The Ukrainian military resumed disturbing strikes with cheap drones on the Russian rear areas. The months of hostilities confirmed that Ukrainian UAVs do not cause any significant damage to the Russian military infrastructure but they threaten civilians in numerous regions.
It is fitting that Ukrainian attacks are launched soon after the Russian military stopped massive strikes on Ukrainian military facilities throughout the country. It is not for the first time that Kiev attempts to provoke massive waves of Russian retaliatory strikes on its territory. In its turn, the Russian military does not escalate the hostilities but most often responds to Ukrainian provocations.
Ukrainian drone strikes are very timely. The next wave of Russian strikes will be massively broadcast by the Kiev media and MSM as an example of devastating hostilities in the country. Moreover, it is expected that Kiev will again use the strikes to arrange another bloody provocation, killing its own civilians with the alleged “Russian missile”. Kiev needs more blood to gain back the attention of the Western public, which was diverted by the Israeli-Palestinian war. This is the only way Zelensky could put the Ukrainian conflict on a par with the catastrophe in the Middle East and preserve the influx of money and weapons from NATO. LINK
