This map allows to compare the military situation in southern Idlib on December 19 before the Syrian Army’s advance started, and on December 23, after several days of the operation. Since the start of the advance, government forces have liberated over 20 villages from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) and other radical groups.
