Radical militants targeted on September 4 two bulldozers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) near the recently liberated town of al-Tamanah in southern Idlib.

The so-called “al-Fatah al-Mubin” operations room said that the two bulldozers were building fortifications in the Sidi Ali hilltop when they were targeted with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

Al-Fatah al-Mubin was formed last May by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The operations room include al-Qaeda-affiliated factions as well as Turkish-backed groups.

The attack on the Sidi Ali hilltop is yet another violation of the new ceasefire in Greater Idlib, which was announced last week by the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria. On September 3, militants launched several armed drones at the Russian Hmeimim airbase on the Syrian coast.

These repeated violations of the ceasefire will likely force the SAA to resume its military operations in Greater Idlib very soon. New reports suggest that the army could attack from Aleppo this time.
