A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Mohammad Khan Ahmadi, a commander of the Special Forces’ unit in Faryab province was killed in the Shalgar district, Balkh province. The Taliban claimed that 4 bodyguards were also killed;
- Taliban units carried out several raids against government troops in northern Afghanistan. The group claimed that over 8 government troops were killed and 5 others were wounded.
