- An intense fighting between the Taliban and government forces erupted in the Gulistan district, Farah province. According to pro-government sources, at least 25 Taliban members and 20 government troops were killed;
- According to the Taliban media wing, 51 civilians were killed and 21 others were wounded in intense US-led strikes on the Bakwa district of Farah province and the Delaram district of Nimroz;
- The Taliban attacked several check points in the Maiwand district, Kandahar province, reportedly killing at least 10 government fighters.
