This map compares the general military situation in Iraq in September 2015 and March 2020. Since then, Iraqi government forces, Iranian-backed groups and the US-led coalition have cleared most of the country’s west from the self-proclaimed Caliphate of ISIS. Nonetheless, active ISIS cells remained in the north of the country and along the border with Syria.
So, ISIS , does not go into Kurdish or Turkish areas.
