ISIS has recently stepped up its attacks in North Sinai:

• ISIS claimed IED attack targeting military vehicles south of Rabaa (Statement was released on September 15);
• ISIS claimed 2 IED attacks on 2 Egyptian military vehicles south of Rafah (Statement was released on September 16);
• ISIS claimed sniper attack killing Egyptian soldier west of Sheikh Zuweid (Statement was released on September 16);
• ISIS claimed sniper attack killing Egyptian soldier south of Rafah (Statement was released on September 16).
