The military situation in Ukraine remains intense and dynamic. Russian forces have demonstrated tactical initiative along several key fronts, successfully thwarting Ukrainian counterattacks, advancing significantly in multiple areas, and effectively using drone warfare to degrade Ukrainian capabilities.

In the Tyotkino and Glushkovo directions, Russian troops from the Northern group thwarted several attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break into the Kursk Region of Russia. Attacks near the villages of Pavlovka and Mirlogi, as well as near the settlements of Novyi Put and Bessalovka, were timely detected and swiftly neutralized by border guards and Rosgvardiya (Russian National Guard Troops) units, destroying Ukrainian infantry and armored vehicles.

In the Sumy direction, Ukrainian forces conducted 12 unsuccessful counterattacks, losing more than 60 soldiers killed and wounded. Russian paratroopers from the 83rd Airborne Brigade repelled a significant counterattack near Yablonovka, destroying at least one Leopard 2A5 tank. Reports are also coming in about the destruction of additional heavy armored vehicles.

Russian UAV operators targeted a Swedish tank using “Knyaz Vandal” fiber-optic drones while it was moving along a road. The tank was first immobilized and subsequently destroyed

In the Volchansk and Liptsy directions, eight Ukrainian assault groups, military warehouses, and equipment were destroyed. Russian forces advanced within Volchansk and secured surrounding areas. Additionally, they captured several fortified positions around the village of Volchanskiye Khutora. Russian troops crossed the Seversky Donets River in Volchansk and approached the grain elevator area.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces liberated the village of Novaya Kruglyakovka. Additionally, bridges and roads between Senkovo and Kruglyakovka are now under their control. Positional battles continue on the outskirts of Glushkovka. This tactical success significantly improved Russian logistics and maneuverability toward Borova.

Meanwhile, near Toretsk, Russian troops reached the outskirts of Belaya Gora and captured a Ukrainian stronghold near the Naumikha River. Russian artillery and aviation continue heavy strikes to weaken Ukrainian defensive positions in this area.

In the Novopavlovka direction, Russian forces took control of Chervonnaya Zirka and Dachnoye, and liberated Novoukrainka. Further Russian advances have been recorded west of Shevchenko, toward Malievka and Kamyshevaha. Additionally, Russian troops have achieved gains south of Mirnoye. This has created a new tactical foothold for potential further advances northwest toward the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

Overall, the frontline situation as of June 29 illustrates sustained pressure by Russian forces across multiple strategic directions, coupled with effective use of advanced drone technology and precision artillery strikes. These tactical successes have allowed Russian units to gain critical ground, secure important logistical routes, and neutralize Ukrainian counterattacks, shaping the operational environment in their favor. Further developments will likely be defined by continued intense engagements along these contested fronts.

the us, eu and nato have invested too much in ukraine, anyone who thinks once ukraine runs out of cannon fodder the war will end, is sorely mistaken.

no, they don’t. they literally don’t have any more options to directly confront the russians. it will be more nonsense on the periphery like georgia and armenia and kazahkstan. but the ukraine thing has literally passed through the digestive system of the us and come out as an odious spray.

all that’s left for nato to gain more control over the black sea is to bring in tiny moldova as a token victory.
