Ever since the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by a US drone strike, the General’s likeness, as well as anti-US propaganda has been on the rise in both Iraq and Iran.
On the streets and in media.
Soleimani was, without a doubt, one of the central figures in the fight against ISIS, and one of the biggest contributors to the defeat of the terrorist group, and an iconic figure, enjoying a wide popularity in both Iran and neighboring Iraq.
A monument called “Victory Leaders” is being built near the Baghdad airport, where Soleimani and deputy chief of the Popular Mobilization Units Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were killed by the US.

An Iranian TV, published an animated video of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, as well as a video of the Iranian strike on al-Asad Air Base in Iraq.
The number of US troops injured in that attack consistently increases as time goes by.

Murals and posters of Soleimani are present all-around Iran, and in many places in Iraq.
Even at the Imam Khomeini Space Launch Centre, there is also a large photograph showing the late General, thus every time that the US and Co. carry out satellite surveillance on the activities at the sensitive site, they also see his likeness.

In addition, posters with General Soleimani are appearing in Rome, Italy, near the Colosseum.
I know that Major General Qassem Soleimani has been to Europe a couple of times but never to #Rome, #Italy. His photo is next to the Flavian Amphitheatre known as the Colosseum, #Italia, via @amu_abbas pic.twitter.com/Ty8XVcdjie

The text on the poster reads, in Italian:
“Ma c’è un altro tipo di paradiso: il campo di battaglia. Il campo di battaglia per la propria Patria.”
“But there is another type of paradise: The battlefield. The battlefield for one’s homeland.”
This is Rome and these are the posters of general Soleimani who was assassinated by the US only because he was a great threat to American imperialism in the ME.

The anti-US and pro-Iranian propaganda is all around the streets, and it is becoming and more apparent that the Trump Administration did turn Soleimani into a martyr, and provided quite a bit of steam to the resistance against Washington in the Middle East.
A similar strategy is being applied in Benghazi, Libya. It shows Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a supporter of ISIS. Thus, such street-level propaganda appears to be gaining popularity.
