On December 14, the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a heavy-class carrier rocket Angara-A5 from the launch pad of site No. 35 of the State Test Cosmodrome of the Defense Ministry (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk Region. The rocket was launched with the overall mass model of the payload.
This was the second test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy-class launch vehicle. The previous launch of the Angara-A5LV from this cosmodrome was carried out on December 23, 2014.
