In the direction of Dobropillia, Russian units have advanced along the Hryshynka River, capturing strongpoints. They are accumulating in the area of the Novovodyana Mine and preparing to expand the wedge near Hryshyne. In the Sumy area, Russian troops have cleared the Shovkunovyi Yar ravine and are fighting for the Zavodovshchyna tract. They are also pushing Ukrainian units out of the Demenko and Pereezdnoye tracts while continuing to fight in Korchakivka and Kondrativka. In the Kharkiv area, Russian assault groups advanced 700 meters in the Vovchansk sector and 1,000 meters in the Velykyi Burluk sector. They are fighting in Karaichne and Okhrimivka. In the Slaviansk area, Russian troops have struck logistics depots and drone control points and repelled local Ukrainian counterattacks. According to The Telegraph, Great Britain and France oppose the obligation of NATO countries to spend 0.25% of their GDP on military aid to Ukraine.

Dobropillia Direction
Units of the “Center” troop grouping are advancing northwestward. The most intense clashes persist near Hryshyne. Capturing Hryshyne would allow Russian troops to advance to the defense line of Ukrainian units at Matyasheve.

Recently, Russian assault groups advanced along the left bank of the Hryshynka River, capturing the strongpoints there. Currently, there are ongoing clashes for a chain of fortifications near the Polezhaevka pond. Capturing them would give Russian troops fire control over Ukrainian unit communications in Vasylivka.

An extensive combat zone remains in the northern and central sectors, where assault groups from both sides operate. Russian units are slowly but steadily accumulating in the area of Novovodyana Mine No. 2, preparing to attack the Ukrainian defense line on the approaches to Svitle. However, the “Center” grouping’s units will only be able to launch a full-scale offensive on the village after consolidating in the area and suppressing some of the Ukrainian drone crews. Therefore, a turning point in the fighting here cannot yet be achieved.

Kupyansk Direction
Right-bank Kupyansk remains primarily a gray zone. Russian units have been spotted in certain northern and central sectors, while Ukrainian units are present on the outskirts of Radkivka, Moskivka, and Sobolivka.

On the left bank of the Oskol River, pressure continues. Following the capturing of Kucherovka, Russian forces are consolidating and clearing the surrounding areas. Activity persists in Kurylivka, Kupyansk-Uzlovoi, and Kovsharivka.

Slaviansk Direction
In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian units continued working in the areas of Mykolaivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Malynivka, and Pyskunivka. Pyskunivka is important for advancing along the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets toward Mykolaivka.

Following the Ukrainian transfer of reserves, local counterattack activity has increased. Attempts at action were recorded from the direction of Korovyn Yar and Drobysheve, including those towards Seredne and Shandryholove.

The areas around Zarichne, Dibrova, Ozerne, Stavky, and the surrounding tree lines are zones of unstable control. Due to terrain features and the actions of small groups, there is effectively no stable front line.

Russian units in the sector mainly focus on striking logistics, crossings, temporary deployment points, and supply routes. The Krasnyi Lyman area and the logistical hubs in the Shchurove area remain under pressure.

Sumy Direction
Russian troops continue their offensive in Ukraine’s border area. Units of the “North” grouping are preparing to eliminate the Ukrainian units in the Sadky area and are systematically clearing Ukrainian formations from the forested areas north of the Oleshnia River.

Recently, Russian troops cleared the Shovkunovyi Yar ravine, forcing Ukrainian troops back toward Mohrytsia. Forward assault groups have engaged in fighting for the Zavodovshchyna tract and will soon consolidate their position there. Clearing this forested area will enable Russian troops to encircle Ukrainian units near Sadky and advance on Mohrytsia.

Meanwhile, Russian units are attempting to push Ukrainian forces out of the Demenko and Pereezdnoye tracts, which are located near Hornal. In the central area, fighting continues near Korchakivka, where Ukrainian forces are positioned in the forests around the Razboynoye tract. They regularly send reinforcements to the area from Nova Sich.

The situation remains complex on the western flank of the front near Kondrativka. The center of the settlement remains in a combat zone where both sides’ positions are often intermixed. This prevents either side from establishing firm control over the village, whose built-up area has been almost completely destroyed over the course of several months of fighting.

Kharkiv Direction
In the Kharkiv area, the “North” grouping’s assault units continue to expand the security zone. Russian troops have attacked Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in Sosnivka, Bairaka, Rubizhne, Izbitske, Petropavlivka, Bohodukhiv, Vesele, and Zolochiv.

There are ongoing firefights in Hranove. Russian assault groups are pushing Ukrainian servicemen out of the border settlement.

In the Vovchansk area, the “North” grouping’s assault units advanced up to 700 meters across nine sectors. Russian assault groups are engaged in firefights in Karaichne and Okhrimivka, as well as in the forested areas of the Vovchansk district. Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Defense crews struck the 127th Separate Tank Mechanized Brigade’s positions in the Izbitske area with heavy flamethrowers.

In the direction of Velykyi Burluk, Russian servicemen advanced approximately 1,000 meters on three fronts, reaching Budarka and the forested areas of the Kupyansk district.

Conclusion
Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the direction of Dobropillia, Russian units are accumulating in the area of the “Novovodyana” mine and expanding the wedge near Hryshyne. This creates prerequisites for a further advance toward Svitle and the potential encirclement of Dobropillia. In the Sumy area, clearing the Shovkunovyi Yar ravine and fighting for the Demenko, Pereezdnoye, and Zavodovshchyna tracts are bringing Russian troops closer to eliminating the Sadky salient and threatening the Ukrainian units’ supply hubs in Mohrytsia and Khotyn. In the Kharkiv area, advances in the Vovchansk and Velykyi Burluk sectors and the clearing of Hranove and Shesterivka are expanding the security zone along the border. In the Slaviansk area, systematic strikes against Ukrainian unit logistics and infrastructure in Mykolaivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Pyskunivka suggest preparation for more active operations despite local counterattacks.

In the international political context, a notable event was The Telegraph’s publication. According to the newspaper, Great Britain and France were the main opponents of the idea of spending 0.25% of NATO countries’ GDP to support Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had previously proposed this to ensure uninterrupted military aid to Kyiv but later stated that alliance countries would not agree to it. Spain, Italy, and Canada also opposed the proposal. The seven countries that already spend more than 0.25% of their GDP to support Kyiv, including the Netherlands, Poland, the Nordic countries, and the Baltic states, supported the proposal. These disagreements demonstrate persistent differences within NATO regarding long-term financing for Ukraine.
