Russian Army Captures Yablokovo, Reaches Depth Of Defenses In Novopavlivka (Videos)

On November 15, the Russian military captured yet another settlement from Kiev forces in Zaporizhzhia, and broke through Ukrainian defenses inside a large settlement in Dnepropetrovsk.

The capture of Yablokovo in Zaporizhzhia by the Vostok [East] Group of Forces was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, which noted in a statement that the attack on the settlement was led by the the 114th Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 5th Combined Arms Army.

“Success has been achieved by synchronised actions of the Vostok Group of Forces. Its units will exploit an offensive and seize another settlement, which is the ninth already in this month,” the ministry said.

“The servicemembers advance to the depth of the enemy’s defence order in Gulyaypole direction, simultaneously mopping up an interstream area. In the battles for the settlements, AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) units has lost a large number of manpower and more than a dozen motor vehicles,” it continued.

“An area of more than six square kilometers has been taken under control of the servicemen from the Russian Far East,” it added.

During the battle in Yablokovo, Ukraine’s 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade lost up to two platoons of troops and more than ten military vehicles.

The capture of the settlement put the Vostok Group of Forces closer to the city of Huliapole, a key stronghold of Kiev forces.

Russian troops are already working to expand their control to the south of Yablokovo in Zaporizhzhia. Vesele, Zelenyi Hai, and Vysoke are facing growing pressure, and they could be captured by the group within a few days. Once this happens, Zatyshshya will be the last settlement before Huliapole.

It’s worth noting that the Vostok Group of Forces is also advancing towards Huliapole from the direction of Dnepropetrovsk.

Russian troops are now fighting in the eastern outskirts of Nechayevka and Radostnoye right on the Haichur River, which runs south to the city. If Ukrainian defenses in the two settlements collapse, the rest of the line along the river will likely follow.

In addition to the advance towards Huliapole, the Vostok Group of Forces is developing its operations in Novopavlivka in Dnepropetrovsk.

Under the guise of fog, Russian troops broke through Ukrainian defenses in the center of the large settlement, reaching as far as its northern part. The troops also expanded their control to the south of the settlement, mainly along the road leading to Dachne.

The drone units of the Vostok Group of Forces also intensified their operations in Novopavlivka and nearby areas, complicating the situation for Kiev forces there.

From Novopavlivka to Huliapole, the collapse of Ukrainian defenses is becoming more clear everyday. All of this is the direct result of Kiev’s decision to prioritize the defense of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk. Now, Kiev forces are about to lose not just Pokrovsk, but also Novopavlivka and very possibly Huliapole. Further Ukrainian collapse is to be expected in Zaporizhzhia and Dnepropetrovsk.
