The Russian military has developed a tracked ground drone that can fire a salvo of RPO-A Shmel rocket-assisted thermobaric projectiles.
The new drone was nicknamed “Mini-Solntsepyok” after the TOS-1 tracked multiple launcher, which fires heavy thermobaric rockets.
The specifications of the new drone were revealed. However, from photos that surfaced online on August 23 it is clear that the drone is armed with a torrent that could hold up to RPO-A Shmel projectiles. They can be fired in a single salvo, or one by one. The torrent’s design allows for simple reloading.

The PRO-A is a man-portable, single-use weapon. It has an effective range of 20 to 1,000 meters. The thermobaric warhead of the weapon weighs just 2.1 kg, yet its blast is reported to be as powerful as any standard 152/155 mm artillery shell.
The highly-capable warhead was especially designed to defeat concealed firing positions, disable lightly armored vehicles and destroy manpower.

It is unclear how the operators of the drone will be able to aim the turret, but the most likely concept is a targeting system built around a first-person view camera.
Overall, the Mini-Solntsepyok was apparently designed to be easy and cheap to produce. The heavy fire power and high mobility of the drone will be especially useful in destroying enemy fortifications along the front, especially those located in rough terrain, or to clear buildings and houses in urban areas. It is unclear yet if the drone has been deployed to the special military operation zone in Ukraine.

a fpv drone with thermobaric warhead would be good to suction the air out of the lungs of entrenched natzies hiding under concrete bunkers.
