Russian Army Develops Operations In Dnepropetrovsk, Captures Another Town (Video)

On October 31, the Russian military developed its operations in the Dnepropetrovsk direction and captured another settlement there, all while making additional gains in the direction of Zaporizhzhia nearby.

The Vostok [East] Group of Forces captured Novooleksandrivka after advancing in Dnepropetrovsk, to the north of the Yanchur River, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, which said that the attack on the settlement was led by the 36th Guards Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army.

“During the assault, the enemy resisted fiercely using FPV drones, mortars, and artillery. Thanks to confident and resolute actions, Russian troops successfully broke into the settlement, established control over it, and set the flags of the Russian Federation up. The Group’s units took control over the enemy defence area with a territory of more than 12 square kilometres. Russian troops mopped about 100 buildings up,” the ministry said in a statement.

“Units of the Vostok Group of Forces continue to develop an offensive liberating settlements in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions and strengthening the borders reached,” it added.

According to preliminary reports, Russian troops have already reached Hai to the west of Novooleksandrivka, and advanced along the Yanchur westward to Danylivka.

Meanwhile to the east in Dnepropetrovsk, the Tsentr [Center] Group of Forces has reportedly begun advancing inside Novopavlivka. Russian troops reached the southern part of the large settlement after clearing all the areas north of Filiya along the Solena River.

The capture of Novopavlivka would allow Russian troops to advance towards Mezhova to the north. The settlement is located near key routes leading to both Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.

Back to the Yanchur in Zaporizhzhia, the Vostok Group of Forces has reportedly made gains inside Uspenivka to the south along the river. Russian troops are also said to have broken through Ukrainian defenses to the west of Poltavka and Malinivka, reaching Vesele and Zelenyi Hai.

All operations in this part of Zaporizhzhia are meant to close in on Huliapole, a key stronghold of Kiev forces. Russian troops could reach the city very soon.

The Vostok Group of Forces has reportedly made additional gains between Stepnohirsk and Prymorske further to the west in Zaporizhzhia. Battle there remain, however, very limited in scale.

Overall, Ukrainian defenses continue to collapse between Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. This direct collapse is a direct result of Kiev’s decision to prioritize the battle in the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk. The Russian is taking advantage of this situation very well, keeping pressure on Kiev forces in all of these areas.
