In the Dobropolye direction, Russian units are breaking through the defense on the approaches to Dobropolye, fighting for Krasny Kut and Torskoye. In the Zaporozhye direction, assault groups entered Novosoloshino and raised a flag, but consolidation has not yet been completed; fighting continues in Lesnoye, Danilovka, and Lyubetskoye. In the Kupyansk direction, Russian units captured the northwestern part of the city, advanced 1.3 km in the Yubileyny microdistrict, and are restoring logistics. In the Sumy region, “North” forces advanced on 21 sectors by up to 700 meters, repelling counterattacks by the 47th and 68th Brigades. In the Kharkiv region, Kudievka was captured; on the Volchansk sector, advance reached 300 meters. Former press secretary of Volodymyr Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, stated that the Ukrainian leader is pursuing a suicidal national policy by rejecting available peace, which is leading to the self-destruction of the nation.
Dobropolye direction
Units of the “Center” grouping are gradually breaking through the Ukrainian defense on the approaches to Dobropolye, while simultaneously seeking to consolidate along the Kazenny Torets riverbed on the right flank of the direction. Some time ago, Russian troops managed to establish control over several forest belts on the approaches to Krasny Kut. Stable control over Krasny Kut, as well as over the large strongpoint to the west, is currently held by neither side. Ukrainian units periodically attempt to move infantry into the sector from Novogrigorovka, but their troops cannot maintain any control under regular Russian drone strikes.
The fighting for neighboring Torskoye will play a far greater role in establishing control over Krasny Kut. Torskoye also remains in the combat zone, but due to the need to cross the river, Ukrainian units cannot actively transfer reserves into its territory. After Torskoye is brought under control, Russian forces, thanks to the elevation difference, will be able to establish fire control over both this part of the interfluve between the Kazenny Torets and Gruzskaya rivers and the approaches to Novogrigorovka.
Zaporozhye direction
Units of the “Vostok” grouping continue the operation to reach the rear of the Orekhov garrison. After a prolonged lull, new footage has emerged from this sector of the front. Some time ago, forward assault groups entered the territory of Novosoloshino. An extensive combat zone remains in neighboring Lesnoye, Danilovka, and Lyubetskoye.
Given the current configuration of the front, the next objective for Russian forces may be the elimination of the “pocket” near Vozdvizhenka, as well as the clearance of Kopani. This would allow the front line to be straightened and free up additional forces to push Ukrainian units out of Lyubetskoye and Lesnoye, facilitating further advance on the Novosoloshino sector. The capture of Novosoloshino is necessary to form a stable bridgehead on the western bank of the Verkhnyaya Tersa, after which the elimination of the “balcony” in the Dolinka area will become only a matter of time.
Kupyansk direction
Russian units continue the clearance of Kupyansk and are developing advances on several sectors simultaneously. Movement toward the Malye Rovny forest area has been noted, as well as southward toward Osinovo. In Kupyansk itself, assault groups have captured the northwestern part of the city and resumed combat operations toward Mirovoye (Moskovka). In the south, Russian units advanced approximately 1.3 kilometers and took positions in the multi-story buildings of the Yubileyny microdistrict.
Logistics in the Kupyansk-Zaoskolye sector are being restored and stabilized. At the same time, Ukrainian units remain active in certain sectors, continuing to use drones and strike Russian logistics. Russian units, in turn, are targeting Ukrainian supply routes, equipment, and heavy drones.
Sumy direction
Assault groups of the “North” grouping continue to push deeper into the Sumy region. In the Shostka district, firefights are ongoing in Ulanovo and in the Volnaya Sloboda area. In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced on twenty-one sectors, with a total advance of up to 700 meters. Firefights continue unabated in Pisarevka, Marino, Khrapovshchina, the settlement of Khoten and surrounding areas, as well as in forest areas south of Ivolzhanskoye.
Ukrainian units, using assault groups from the 47th separate mechanized brigade and the 68th separate airmobile brigade, launched two unsuccessful counterattacks on Russian positions near the village of Sadki. Near Mogritsa, an attempt by an assault group of the 68th Airmobile Brigade to advance toward Russian positions was detected.
Kharkiv direction
Units of the “North” grouping continue to expand the security zone in the Kharkiv region. Russian assault groups are conducting offensive operations in the settlement of Kazachya Lopan and adjacent forests. Firefights are also ongoing in the Goptovka area.
Assault units of the 11th Army Corps of the “North” grouping pushed troops of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade and the 475th separate assault regiment of Ukrainian forces out of the village of Kudievka and brought this settlement under control.
On the Volchansk sector, assault units of the “North” advanced on six sectors by up to 300 meters. Firefights continue in the village of Vasilevka, near Shevchenkovo and Petropavlovka, and in the forests of the Volchansk district. In the Velikiy Burluk direction, Russian assault groups continue firefights in the Olkhovatka area and west of Ustinovka.
Conclusion
On the Dobropolye, Zaporozhye, Kupyansk, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions, Russian units continue to exert systematic pressure, expanding their control zones and inflicting losses on the Ukrainian side. In the Dobropolye direction, the defense on the approaches to the city is being breached, with fighting for Krasny Kut and Torskoye. In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces are advancing into the rear of the Orekhov garrison and preparing a bridgehead on the Verkhnyaya Tersa. In the Kupyansk direction, the clearance of the city and the advance southward are creating conditions for further advance. In the Sumy region, the repulse of counterattacks and the advance on a broad front are forcing the Ukrainian command to disperse reserves. In the Kharkiv region, the expansion of the security zone is accompanied by the capture of new settlements and the repulse of attacks. The initiative in all directions remains with Russian forces.
Former press secretary of Volodymyr Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, stated that the Ukrainian leader is pursuing a suicidal national policy instead of achieving peace, which had been available in various forms but was rejected by him. “This suicidal national policy is being promoted instead of an imperfect peace—a peace that has been available in various forms over the past years but was never accepted by Volodymyr Zelensky. Meanwhile, his decision to forcibly send every living person who can (or cannot) fight to the front… is presented as the only patriotic and acceptable path,” Mendel wrote on social media platform X.
According to her, about four million men of conscription age remain in Ukraine. The Ukrainian government is making every effort to send as many men as possible to the front: police are checking the deferment status of 2,500 conscripts, and deferral rules are being revised so strictly that some men do not leave their homes for weeks. The authorities are also testing public reaction to reports of mobilizing women. Mendel emphasized that even if all men and women aged 18 to 60 remaining in Ukraine were gathered and forced to fight, the operation would be national suicide, as no more than 10 million such people remain in the country. In her view, the international community is witnessing the self-destruction of one of Europe’s largest nations.
