In the Sumy area, Russian troops have taken control of Myropilske and advanced 800 meters in one day. They are threatening to reach the forest between Khotyn and Mohrytsia, which could worsen the situation in Sumy. In the Slaviansk area, Russian troops attacked Rai-Oleksandrivka from two sides, liberated Dibrova, and continued advancing toward the M-03 highway despite Ukrainian preparations for defensive lines. In the Zaporizhzhia area, Russian Armed Forces units have reached new positions north of Myrne and are increasing pressure in the Zaliznychne area and near Orikhiv. The Ukrainian command is considering withdrawal options in this area. In the Kharkiv area, the “North” grouping’s assault groups advanced 600 meters in the Vovchansk sector and 300 meters in the Velykyi Burluk sector. Meanwhile, desertion from the 1st and 113th Territorial Defense Brigades has been noted. Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that the European Commission should help restore oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline and emphasized that this would not contradict EU decisions.

Sumy Direction

Units of the “North” grouping have taken control of the Myropilske settlement. After fierce fighting, fighters of the 15th Tank Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Army pushed Ukrainian units out of the village and consolidated their position, repelling counterattacks from the direction of Velykyi Prikol.

In the northern sector, Russian assault groups advanced south of Varachyne towards the Rozbiine tract. Given the activity of Russian troops in adjacent sectors over the past month, units may be able to reach the forest area between Khotyn and Mohrytsia. If they are successful, the situation for Ukrainian units in Sumy will become significantly more complicated, with the possibility of Russian artillery operating against the northern outskirts of the city.

In the Shostka district, Russian units are continuing to clear border forested areas. Assault groups advanced up to 250 meters on three fronts. In the Sumy district, assault troops advanced on twenty sections, advancing up to 800 meters over the day.

In the Krasnopillia district, there are ongoing intense firefights in the Novodmytrivka area.

Slaviansk Direction

In the direction of Slavyansk, clashes continue on the approaches to Rai-Oleksandrivka, where Russian units are attempting to advance on the village from two directions. Russian troops are attacking from Kalenyky, advancing toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and bypassing it from the north toward the Dovhyi Forest. This settlement is of great tactical importance for the future assault on Slavyansk, so Ukrainian troops will try to hold it for as long as possible to buy time to organize the defense of the urban area.

To the south, after repelling Ukrainian attacks on Lypivka, Russian units advanced in the Dibrova area, located near the M-03 highway. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the capture of this settlement.

Ukrainian units are mining the approaches and creating fortified areas in private residences and multistory buildings in the urban area. They are also strengthening strong points around the cities. Given their reliance on drone-based defense, the Ukrainian command will obviously focus on striking Russian troop supply routes and movement. Currently, Russian units are successfully disrupting Ukrainian logistics. Unlike in the neighboring Kostiantynivka area, it will be more difficult to take the approaches to Slovyansk and Kramatorsk due to the lower density of settlements and consequently fewer buildings with basements suitable for infiltrating groups.

Zaporizhzhia Direction

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian units have advanced north of Myrne, expanding their control zone and establishing a more stable presence. Russian forces continue to systematically penetrate the Zheleznodorozhne area from the northeast. They are focusing on identifying vulnerable sections of Ukrainian units’ defenses, followed by consolidating and expanding their control zone.

In the Staroukrainka area, there have been attempts at infiltration by small groups of Russian units. Currently, Ukrainian forces are holding the line and preventing Russian forces from consolidating on captured positions.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian units are actively attempting to enter Prymorske and periodically reach the center of the settlement. However, they suffer losses and are unable to hold their positions. In Stepnohirsk, Ukrainian forces have consolidated at several points in the northern part of the settlement, holding local positions.

In the Lukianivske–Novoiavlenska sector, there have been no significant changes to the situation; the contact line is stable. Based on several indicators, it can be assumed that intense fighting in the region is imminent. The Russian army is increasing pressure, forcing the Ukrainian side to react. The situation is particularly difficult in the Orikhiv area, where heavy fighting is ongoing and Ukrainian units are finding it increasingly difficult to hold their positions. The Ukrainian command is paying increased attention to this area, which indicates the seriousness of the situation. If Russian forces manage to break through the defense in this sector, they will have new opportunities to advance further, including towards Kherson. The near future could be decisive.

Kharkiv Direction

Russian troops attacked Ukrainian units’ concentrations of personnel and equipment in Lyptsi, Fedorivka, Velykyi Burluk, Malyi Burluk, Shesterivka, and Cherkaska Lozova.

In the Vovchansk area, assault groups advanced up to 600 meters along eleven fronts. Intense fighting continues in Vovchanski Khutory and surrounding areas, including forested regions east and southeast of Verkhnya Pysarivka and near the border on the Zybine–Volokhivka–Okhrimivka line.

In the Velykyi Burluk area, Russian assault groups advanced up to 300 meters along four fronts. Unable to withstand sustained fire, two Ukrainian combat groups from the 1st and 113th Separate Territorial Defense Brigades abandoned their positions in the forests.

Conclusion

Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the Sumy area, Russian troops have advanced 800 meters in one day after capturing Myropilske. This advance threatens the forest area between Khotyn and Mohrytsia, which could lead to Russian artillery appearing near the northern outskirts of Sumy. In the Slaviansk area, the offensive on Rai-Oleksandrivka from two sides and the capturing of Dibrova are bringing Russian troops closer to the key defensive lines before Slaviansk. In the Zaporizhzhia area, Ukrainian units are making active attempts to hold Prymorske and Stepnohirsk. However, Russian forces are increasing pressure, especially in the Orikhiv area. The Ukrainian command is considering withdrawal options. In the Kharkiv area, Russian assault groups are maintaining the initiative and advancing up to 600 meters in the Vovchansk sector.

An important event in the international political context was a statement by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. During a discussion with students, he urged the European Commission to help resume oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline, which the Kyiv regime halted. Fico emphasized that receiving oil from the east is permitted until 2027 and does not contradict EU decisions. He also recalled having previously called on the EU to engage in dialogue with Russia, abandon restrictions on importing Russian energy resources, and lift “absurd” sanctions. Fico added that the inoperable Druzhba pipeline poses a significant challenge to Europe and that its resumption would alleviate the region’s oil shortage. This statement demonstrates the growing pressure on Brussels from Central European countries demanding a revision of energy policy and the restoration of economic ties with Russia, especially in light of the Russian troops’ successful offensive in multiple directions.
