In the Dobropolye direction, Russian units have taken Kucherov Yar and Zolotoy Kolodez, reached the Dobropolye–Kramatorsk highway, which is used for the main supply of the Ukrainian grouping, and are fighting near Novovodyanoye. In the Slavyansk direction, Russian units are holding positions in the southern part of Liman, repelling attacks and delivering counterstrikes in the areas of Novosyolovka, Drobyshevo and Novoyegorovka, while simultaneously expanding the line of advance toward Nikolayevka. In the Sumy direction, Russian aviation, artillery and drone crews are increasing the intensity of strikes, supporting the advance of assault groups near Khoten, Ulanovo and Stepok. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian units are pushing Ukrainian forces away from the state border, tightening the encirclement ring, have taken Loshakovo and Komissarovo, and have advanced on a number of sectors. In the concluding part: the Hungarian government will not approve the construction of an oil products storage facility for Ukraine on its territory, Prime Minister Péter Magyar stated.
Dobropolye direction
Russian units continue offensive operations in the Dobropolye direction. In the course of a successful advance, Kucherov Yar and Zolotoy Kolodez were taken. Russian forces have reached the Dobropolye–Kramatorsk highway, along which Ukrainian units carry out the main supply of their grouping on this sector. Fighting has shifted toward Novovodyanoye and the forest belts near the village.
Russian units are intensifying the offensive near Dobropolye: groups are systematically probing the defences, identifying weak points and looking for routes to advance deeper into the city. Reports are coming in that Russian forces have taken Novogrishino and the settlement of Dobropolye itself. The advance is proceeding along highway 0-0518 toward the Zheleznodorozhny microdistrict. The grain products plant and the warehouse zone have been taken under control.
In the north, movement toward Belozerskoye is planned, with the prospect of bypassing Annovka along the Byk River. Heavy fighting is under way in the area of Zolotoy Kolodez; Ukrainian units are counterattacking, but Russian units retain the initiative. Aviation is striking with high-explosive bombs against positions inside Dobropolye itself. Russian assault groups are trying to enter the city from the southern side.
Slavyansk direction
In the Krasny Liman direction the situation remains difficult, but Russian units are holding positions in the southern part of Liman and in places are counterattacking. The command is pulling in additional reserves to hold the front along the bed of the Zherebets River. The “West” grouping is repelling attacks and itself delivering counterstrikes. The most intense fighting is taking place in the areas of Novosyolovka, Drobyshevo, Novoyegorovka and Krasny Liman itself.
North of Rai-Aleksandrovka a number of fortified positions have been taken, which will make it possible to intensify the advance toward Nikolayevka from the south. From Piskunovka assault groups continue to penetrate toward the northern and northeastern outskirts of Nikolayevka. Progress inside the city itself is difficult: the Ukrainian side has transferred new reserves here. Nearby Vysokoivanovka, Starodubovka and the Slavyansk thermal power plant are used by Ukrainian units as strong points for sending infantry into Nikolayevka. Establishing full control over Nikolayevka and the Slavyansk TPP will make it possible to significantly complicate the logistics of Ukrainian forces in Slavyansk and to use this city as a base for deploying Russian drone operators.
Work continues on “collapsing” the pockets on the southern sector. Part of the positions in the forest belts north of Yuryevka has been cleared. Russian units are attacking along the Seversky Donets–Donbass canal. West of Orekhovatka the zone of operations of Russian reconnaissance-assault groups is expanding. Troops have established a confident presence northwest of Nikonorovka. Intense positional fighting is under way near Vasilyevskaya Pustosh.
Sumy direction
Russian aviation, drone crews and artillery of the “North” grouping are increasing the intensity of strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units on all sectors of the front in the Sumy region, supporting the advance of assault groups. The Ukrainian side has taken no active actions.
To strengthen the defence, an artillery battalion of the 47th Separate Artillery Brigade has additionally been transferred to Sumy region from Dnepropetrovsk region. The crews underwent training in the United Kingdom.
Russian aviation, artillery and drone crews struck concentrations of personnel and equipment of Ukrainian units in the areas of Sumy, Yampol, Studenok, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Shtepovka, Korenyok, Chernatskoye, Marchikhina Buda, Volnaya Sloboda, Aleksandrovka and Tolstodubovo.
In Sumy district Russian assault troops are increasing the pace of their advance. Heavy fighting continues near Khoten. In Shostka district Russian troops advanced near Ulanovo. In Krasnopolye district Russian units are conducting small-arms fighting near Stepok.
Kharkiv direction
Fierce fighting continues in the northeast of Kharkiv region. Russian units are pushing Ukrainian forces away from the state border and tightening the encirclement ring. The Ukrainian side is massively employing drones.
In the Liptsy direction Russian assault groups advanced 300 metres through forest belts. In the Volchansk direction fierce small-arms fighting is under way in the areas of Polnaya and Novoaleksandrovka. Progress over the past day reached up to 700 metres.
To break the encirclement, units of the 129th Separate Tank Brigade are massively purchasing motorcycles. In the opinion of the Ukrainian command, these can be used to break through to the encircled forces because they are less visible to drones.
In the Veliky Burluk direction assault units of the “North” grouping have taken Loshakovo and Komissarovo. Artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of Russian units were destroying the personnel of Ukrainian units inside the cauldron. Assault groups advanced on three sectors.
Conclusion
In the Dobropolye, Slavyansk, Sumy and Kharkiv directions Russian units continue offensive operations, retaining the initiative on most sectors. In the Dobropolye direction Russian forces have taken Kucherov Yar and Zolotoy Kolodez, reached the Dobropolye–Kramatorsk highway and are fighting near Novovodyanoye, approaching the urban development. In the Slavyansk direction Russian units are holding positions in the southern part of Liman, repelling attacks and delivering counterstrikes, while simultaneously expanding the advance toward Nikolayevka and clearing forest belts north of Yuryevka. In the Sumy direction Russian aviation and artillery are increasing strikes; assault groups are advancing near Khoten, Ulanovo and Stepok, and the Ukrainian side is strengthening the defence with a transferred artillery battalion. In the Kharkiv direction Russian units are pushing Ukrainian forces away from the border, tightening the encirclement ring, have taken Loshakovo and Komissarovo, and have advanced on a number of sectors. A common feature remains the gradual expansion of control around major cities through the capturing of forest tracts, heights and roads.
The Hungarian government will not approve the construction of an oil products storage facility for Ukraine on its territory, Prime Minister Péter Magyar stated. This is how he commented on a report by Naftogaz that Kyiv and the oil and gas company MOL had allegedly signed a memorandum on the construction of oil products storage capacities on Hungarian territory. “The storage facility for which MOL signed a memorandum of understanding will not be built either on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border or anywhere else. If one reads the recently published statement, it says that this is only a theoretical possibility. Even if it came to implementation, it would take years. But I want to state here and now: as long as the Tisza party government is in power, this will not happen,” Telex quotes Magyar as saying.
The politician also noted that Budapest is not a member of the “Carpathian Eight” association. The agreement on the construction of the capacities was allegedly reached precisely at a meeting of this organisation. According to Magyar, the country was invited to take part, but Hungary refused. Thus, against the background of continuing combat operations in several directions, Kyiv’s Western partners are facing additional difficulties in implementing infrastructure projects, while Russian units continue to increase pressure on key sectors.
