Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency released on June 29 several photos of the armored train Yenisei from the special military operation zone.
The armored train, operated by the Russian Railway Troops, reportedly took part in a “combat coordination” exercise held by the Tsentr [Center] Group of Forces. The photos were taken in the direction of Pokrovsk, where Russian troops are currently advancing.

Yenisei is made up of two empty platform wagons for cargo, logistical and construction purposes at the front and end of the train, a platform wagon mounting a BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle as the head, followed by an anti-aircraft wagon mounting the ZU-23-2 gun alongside an enclosed cabin with six machine-gun slits, the first ChME3-type locomotive, a machine gun wagon with more gun slits, a goods wagon, another machine-gun wagon and the second ChME3-type locomotive.
In addition to the above weapons, Yenisei also ferries a group in charge of maintaining and firing a number of 82-BM-37 mortars both either on or outside of the train.
In terms of length, each of the train’s wagon is made from the standard 40 foot [12.19 meter] long flat car. Combined, Yenisei is a 131 meters long

Yenisei is only one of several armored trains currently deployed in the special military operation zone to escort logistics convoys, conduct engineering reconnaissance, carry out repair missions on railway lines, demine tracks and even deliver humanitarian aid.

earlier, ukrainian defense intelligence drones struck a russian military fuel train between levadne and molochansk in occupied zaporizhzhia, setting 11 tank cars on fire and damaging a key logistics route. the coordinated attack disrupted fuel supplies to the front lines and is expected to delay rail traffic for at least two weeks.
it is so absurd to believe that you can delay rail traffic for two weeks in a war zone. even if you completely blow up the rails and everything.

what do you think you are doing here? the ukrainian state has lost at least a quarter of its land and population since the 2014 us coup, and there is no evidence of any kind of this being reversed. purportedly the entirety of the us nato structure supports the ukrainians and yet here they sit with no sign whatsoever of an improvement of their position. since the russians failed to induce capitulation in 2022 there is no ukrainian success of any kind.
i doubt it’s very useful but at least it’s the most badass train ever build.
