The Russian military has renewed its offensive to the north of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk direction, capturing a town and expelling Kiev forces from other areas.
On September 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Yug [South] Group of Forces captured the town of Mayskoye, located to the northwest of Chasiv Yar.
Russian troops also advanced directly to the north of Chasiv Yar, reportedly securing all the territory up to the water canal south of Novomarkovo.
An attack from Mayskoye towards Stinky to the west seems highly-likely. Such a push would put some serious pressure on Kiev forces in Kostiantynivka as it would effectively cut the main supply route reaching the northern part of the city from Druzhkivka with fire.
It is also possible that Russian troops will advance east, first towards Markove, then to Novomarkovo. Any serious breakthrough from these settlements northward would threaten Ukrainian defenses in both Kostiantynivka to the west and Seversk to the east.
The defensive posture of Kiev forces in Seversk is already in danger. Russian troops have reportedly made more gains while advancing from Serebrianka to Dronovka, tightening pressure on the city from the north. Ukrainian troops are said to have already withdrawn beyond the Bakhmutovka River.
Moving more to the north in Donetsk, the Russian MoD confirmed the capture of Derilovo by the Zapad [West] Group of Forces.
Advance towards Drobysheve, located right to the south of Derilovo, has already begun. However, no gains have been reported so far.
Meanwhile in the direction of Kharkov, the Sever [North] Group of Forces has reportedly broken through Ukrainian defenses in the cemetery of Kupyansk. Russian troops are said to be attempting to flank Kiev forces in the center of the city, amid heavy fighting.
While Kiev forces have been fighting fiercely in Kupyansk, they seem incapable of conducting a counterattack, at least for now.
The push to the north of Chasiv Yar and the storming of Kupyansk before that show how the Russian military is quickly shifting its focus from one area to another to distract Kiev forces. Once the Ukrainians send reinforcements to an area under attack and begin improving their defenses there, Russian troops start advancing somewhere else. This will eventually exhaust Kiev forces, which are already stretched too thin.

a little bird told me a new scissors move is about to cut a lot of ukrainians even in larger numbers than those in chernihiv. the death by a thousand cuts is going to gradually become death by progressive amputations.
and how we compare such thing with aljubarrota’s battle (on the middle ages)?
that is a personal view. that war is over. ukraine is no longer a nation. it is a lost puppet.
comparison: how to exterminate the enemy force on battle(s). in aljubarrota was on a half-hour, but were other times.
you are retarded. is there anything about the combat during the smo that looks anything like medieval warfare?
well, only as one example: «in the medieval era, a “bolt” refers to the projectile shot from a crossbow (also called an arbalest). these bolts were generally shorter but heavier than arrows, with specific heads for different purposes. made of wood with vanes for stabilization, and a metal head, crossbow bolts were mass-produced and a powerful weapon that could penetrate mail armor at close range, making them a significant threat to mounted knights. »
more ukrainian supply lines are lost to sustain the defense attempts of the failing nato war cult. good news !
fanboy derping. what do you suppose the upshot of this conflict will be? russia is not ideologically different than the us empire. both entities are based on plutocratic and kleptocratic dominance hierarchies. the only difference, currently, is that the us empire is using identitarian kookiness to divide and manage the population.
