Many locals from al-Shaddadi in al-Hasakah southern countryside protested against SDF violent behavior.

Local sources reported that the protesters have held up signs against SDF’s violations and the cases of the arbitrary detention they commit, especially arresting and forcing young men and underage girls to recruit and serve in their camps.

The sources added that the locals expressed their refusal to the acts of looting and vandalizing to their properties performed by SDF militants, who also impose royalties on the locals harvests. The sources also clarified that the locals gathered in al-Shaddadi square, burnt tires, and blocked the main roads leading to the city, shouting out anti-SDF and anti-US claims.

Al-Shaddadi protests came in parallel to SDF’s arrest campaigns in al-Sweedieh village near al-Tabqah city in Raqqah countryside. The sources mentioned that SDF’s militants raided on the village for the second day in a row and imposed a curfew in addition to raiding on many houses and arresting over 30 civilians.

The source also clarified that SDF’s raids were a backdrop of demonstrations against them in al-Sweedieh, that lead to the clashes between locals and militants, resulting in wounding a number of protesters, who revolted against the deterioration of the living and services conditions.

The Syrian al-Jazeera always witness public protest movements against SDF’s violations and assistance to the US forces in looting the Syrian resources in the light of the deterioration of the living conditions of people residing in these areas.
