The past night saw another series of cross-border strikes between Russia and Ukraine. While the Ukrainian military stopped massive drone strikes in Russian rear, the Russian military does not decrease intensity of precision strikes across Ukraine. Kyiv continues targeting energy infrastructure in the region it lost, while Russian forces continue pounding military and industrial facilities across Ukraine. The exchanges come amid heightened tensions following recent Ukrainian terrorist attacks on Russian soil, with Kyiv trembling threatened by the upcoming revenge.
Under cover of darkness, Ukrainian forces launched another coordinated assault on energy infrastructure across Russian-controlled southern Kherson and Zaporozhie regions. Artillery and drone strikes pounded energy facilities, with the 150 kV “Novotroitskoye” substation completely disabled. The attacks left 192 settlements without power, affecting over 120,000 residents across seven districts.
At the same time, Russian air defenses intercepted 30 Ukrainian drones over the rear regions overnight, with most shot down over Rostov region (15) and Crimea (11), and interceptions near Moscow, Belgorod and Kursk. The strikes represent Kyiv’s continued asymmetric warfare strategy against the lost territories, though with diminishing returns as Russian air defenses claim increasing success against Ukrainian drone operations.
Moscow responded with another intensive bombardment campaigns, employing a full spectrum of precision weapons, drones and missiles. The attacks employed diverse systems including Iskander-M ballistic missiles, guided glide bombs, and the new “Lightning” FPV drones with extended 20km operational ranges. According to the Air Force of Ukraine, in total, 103 UAVs and an Iskander-M missile targeted Ukraine overnight, with Ukrainian air defense allegedly intercepting 74 UAVs.
Over the past day, Russian strikes were recorded across the country in the DPR, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporozhie, Kherson, Poltava, Odessa, Chernihiv regions.
At night, Russian Geran UAVs struck multiple industrial targets in Kharkiv, with one intercepted drone filmed crashing into a residential building. No fatalities were reported. Industrial facilities in Pesochin and Vasishchevo came under attack.
Multiple explosions thundered in the southern Odessa region and its capital city. During the day, Russian strikes were recorded in the settlements of Akkerman and Vishnevoe.
In the morning, a devastating strike of 500kg guided bombs demolished the administration building in the city of Kherson. The civilian building was turned into a military base and completely destroyed by Russian strike. Russian sources claim the facility housed both Ukrainian authorities and military command posts for the southern front.
Explosions thundered in the Chernihiv region. In Pryluky, Russian drones precision-targeted both a military base and the local recruitment center – a symbolic strike against Ukraine’s unpopular mobilization apparatus.
Russian missiles targeted the rear Poltava region. According to preliminary report, on June 4, Iskander-M missile strike destroyed a military training ground. inflicting heavy losses to the Ukrainian military. According to unconfirmed reports, approximately 400 personnel could fell victims, including 70 foreign militants. Ukrainian officials denied any fatalities, contradicting reports of nine truckloads of bodies being removed.
As Kyiv assesses last night’s damage, Ukrainian officials appear increasingly anxious about promised Russian retaliation for recent terrorist attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure and long-range aviation.

that thing that never happened — remember it? of course not. unfortunately, ukrainian propagandists are left with pure fiction. reality doesn’t suit their message. anyone with a shred of logic would grasp the truth and work to end the war. but their focus isn’t on the nation currently being wrecked.
