In the late hours of March 15, three ISIS suicide bombers women clothes blew themselves up in gatherings of terrorists and civilians who were on their way to surrender to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the middle Euphrates River Valley.

The US-backed group’s press center said that six people were killed and many others were injured, including three SDF fighters.

“Daesh [ISIS] has proven to demonstrate a reckless disregard for human life and continues to be a global threat. The SDF takes all precautions to protect human life. We commend the #SDF for their bravery and sacrifice,” the US-led coalition said in short press release.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), more than 61,000 people, including 6,700 ISIS fighters, have fled the last terrorist group stronghold since last December. The suicide attack appears to be an attempt by ISIS to prevent the few remaining people from leaving.

ISIS territory shrunk to a 600m2 pocket north of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. Despite this, US-backed forces are still not able to finish the battle due to the high number of civilians trapped inside the pocket.
