The Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces (NDF), supported by Russian warplanes, have repelled a major offensive of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front or Jabhat al-Nusra) and the US-backed Free Syrian Army on the strategic Malah Hill (Tal Malah) in the Syrian province of Hama.
