The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered on January 29 tunnels and caves dug by the militants’ in the recently liberated city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man in southeast Idlib.
A video released by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) shows a tunnels network, the militants used to move within the city and in its vicinity.

The state-run news agency also released photos showing a cave the militants’ used to hid ammo and weapons in the vicinity of Ma`arat al-Nu`man. Several landmines were stored in the cave.
The SAA captured Ma`arat al-Nu`man two days ago from al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies. The terrorist groups withdrew from the city without showing any real resistance.
The army is now advancing towards its next target, the city of Saraqib. Government troops are only 9 km away from the city, which is located to the northeast of Ma`arat al-Nu`man.
