On January 9, Russian oil depot in the Orel region came under attack of Ukrainian kamikaze UAVs. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at an industrial facility.
Two Ukrainian drones of the airplane type struck at the Orelnefteprodukt oil depot in the city of Orel. According to preliminary data, one of the drones got into a fuel tank. There was a small fire, and it was immediately eliminated. Another drone hit an energy infrastructure facility. According to the local reports, a building of the Orelenergo energy company was the target.
The governor of the region confirmed that the consequences have already been eliminated. As a result of the attack, three civilians were wounded.
In the afternoon of January 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that three Ukrainian UAVs had been intercepted over the Orel region. Four more Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the Kursk and Bryansk border regions.
