Russian units continued their advance on several operational fronts. In the Kharkiv area, Russian forces prevented the Ukrainian 425th and 475th battalions from redeploying assault groups toward Kazachya Lopan. In the Sumy direction, Russian assault groups advanced up to 900 meters in 21 sectors, engaging in combat in Ulanovo and on the approaches to Malaya Slobodka. In the direction of Dobropolye, Russian units reached Annovka on the eastern outskirts of Dobropolye while conducting airstrikes on fortifications within the city. In the Krasny Liman area, heavy fighting continues in the southern part of the city. Ukrainian forces control Zelyony Klin and are launching counterattacks. In the Kupyansk area, Russian forces are consolidating their position in central Kupyansk and advancing from the foundry toward Kovsharovka. In other news, ReconCraft will produce Ukrainian Magura unmanned surface vessels in the United States, with plans to manufacture hundreds of such drones annually.
Konstantinovka direction
Heavy fighting continues on the eastern flank of the Konstantinovka direction near Chasov Yar. Russian troops are trying to push Ukrainian units out of the Shevchenko microdistrict and the forest area between Shevchenko and Dneprovsky Pond once and for all. Objective control footage later emerged, confirming the start of fighting in Nikolaevka. In Konstantinovka, small Russian assault groups are operating in the Novoselovka area, which is located between Alekseevo-Druzhkovka and Konstantinovka. Russian units have already cleared and stabilized control of approximately half of the built-up area.
In the strip between Dolgaya Balka and Konstantinovka, Russian assault groups are clearing forest areas where there is still a limited Ukrainian presence. These forces can no longer withdraw, yet they have no intention of surrendering. Fierce fighting continues for Dolgaya Balka itself. In addition to clearing the flanks before advancing further, Russian units must also disrupt Ukrainian forces’ logistics across the entire Slavyansk–Kramatorsk–Druzhkovka agglomeration. This task is far more complex than cutting off the supply routes to Konstantinovka, which has long been semi-encircled.
Sumy direction
In the Pisarevka area, the fighting is primarily positional. Russian forces are targeting drone launch points in the forest south of Korchakovka and Pisarevka. There are no significant changes in other sectors of the Sumy front. In the Yunakovka area, Ukrainian units are attacking from the Mogritsa side. In the Tetkino–Glushkovo sector, positional fighting continues as well.
Assault groups from the “North” grouping continue to advance into the Sumy direction. In the Shostka district, there are ongoing firefights in Ulanovo and on the approaches to Malaya Slobodka. In the Sumy district, Russian assault units have advanced in twenty-one sectors for a total advance of up to 900 meters. There are ongoing firefights in Ryzhevka, Pisarevka, Mogritsa, Marino, Novaya Sech village, Khoten settlement, and adjacent territories. Fighting continues in forest areas south of Ivolzhanskoye. In the Krasnopolie district, fighting continues in forest areas and in the border village of Prokhody.
Kharkiv direction
The Ukrainian command planned to redeploy several assault groups from the 425th and 475th separate assault regiments to the Kazachya Lopan area. Due to heavy fire, some of the personnel were eliminated in the area between Bugayovka and Novaya Kazachya. The “North” grouping’s rocket artillery and Russian aviation destroyed Ukrainian unit reserves prepared for deployment in Tokarevka, Chernoglasovka, Zolochev, and Tsupovka.
Russian forces cleared the ravines north of Bely Kolodez and Volokhovskoye, pushing Ukrainian units out of strongpoints between them and taking control of the last ones. They advanced east and southeast of Baksheevka. This breakthrough allowed Russian forces to reach the northern and northeastern outskirts of Bely Kolodez, semi-encircling it, and dislodge Ukrainian forces from strongpoints on the heights northwest and west of Zakharovka. Fighting continues for control of these strongpoints. Advancing further along this ridge opens a path for “North” units to the Ukrainian defense node in the Prikolotnoye and Olkhovatka area from the west.
Russian troops are pushing back Ukrainian forces on the approaches to Shevchenko. The Ukrainian command is trying to slow the advance of the “North” group in this sector by sending small groups to flank them in the Grafske area. However, Grafske has long been under Russian control, as have the deployment routes of these groups, which are being eliminated successfully.
Dobropolye directionRussian units continued advancing on Dobropolye, reaching the outskirts of Annovka — effectively the eastern edge of the city. The advance from the Novy Donbass side is also ongoing. Russia’s Aerospace Forces are striking Ukrainian positions in Dobropolye. In particular, recent strikes with FAB-500 high-explosive bombs have destroyed firing points in multistory buildings. In Belitskoye, Ukrainian units are still capturing multi-story buildings that are being used as strongpoints and firing positions. Russian artillery and aviation are striking identified targets.
Kupyansk direction
Russian units hold positions in the central part of Kupyansk and the Yubileyny microdistrict on the right bank of the Oskol River. The northwestern outskirts of the city are a gray zone where clashes continue. On the left bank, Russian units are advancing from the Kupyansk Foundry and bypassing the industrial zone toward Kovsharovka in an effort to disrupt the Ukrainian supply line. Meanwhile, the clearing of forest areas on the eastern bank of the Oskol is underway, along with the gradual expansion of the control zone. According to recent reports, the Ukrainian forces are transferring additional infantry units to Kupyansk, where they are engaging in urban combat. The high level of drone activity on both sides continues to significantly hinder the operations of assault groups.
Krasny Liman direction
In the direction of Krasny Liman, Russian units are intensifying pressure on Ukrainian positions in the southern part of the city. Ukrainian forces are conducting counterattacks from the south, attempting to maintain control of the captured areas. According to recent reports, the Zelyony Klin microdistrict and the Golubye Ozera area, which is located southwest of Krasny Liman, remain predominantly under Ukrainian control. Despite ongoing fire strikes on logistics and positions, fighting within the city limits remains heavy and positional in nature.
The overall trend in the area of responsibility of the “West” grouping is the persistence of a tense operational situation. Russian forces continue to advance gradually in several directions. Ukrainian units are actively using drones and regularly transferring reserves to the most threatened sectors while continuing to conduct local counterattacks. In most areas, hostilities retain a positional character without significant changes to the line of contact.
Conclusion
In the directions of Konstantinovka, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dobropolye, Kupyansk, and Krasny Liman, Russian units continue to exert systematic pressure, expanding their control zones and inflicting losses on Ukrainian forces. In the Konstantinovka area, flank clearing and positional fighting near Dolgaya Balka may precede an offensive on the Druzhkovka agglomeration. This offensive will require extensive preparation and logistical disruption. In the Kharkiv direction, the semi-encirclement of Bely Kolodez and the advance toward the heights near Zakharovka threaten the defensive positions at Prikolotnoye and Olkhovatka. In the Sumy direction, an offensive on a broad front is forming an eastern envelopment of the directional center. In the Dobropolye area, Russian units have reached the city’s outskirts and are attacking its fortifications. In the Kupyansk area and around Krasny Liman, there is heavy urban fighting. Ukrainian forces are transferring reserves and counterattacking, but the initiative remains with the Russian forces.
Concurrently, the military-technical aspects of the conflict continue to evolve. According to the Wall Street Journal, Ukrainian Magura unmanned surface vessels will be produced in the United States. ReconCraft, a Portland-based company that manufactures boats for special operations forces, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Uforce, Magura’s manufacturer. According to ReconCraft co-founder Joe Silkowski, the goal of the deal is to produce hundreds or even thousands of maritime drones per year. As part of the partnership, Uforce will provide the U.S. with its suite of unmanned aerial, maritime, and ground systems, as well as software for autonomous operation, control, and management technologies. Thus, expanding production capacity abroad could significantly increase the number of unmanned boats available to Ukraine.
