In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian command is redeploying additional forces to prepare new attacks on the outskirts of the city. In the Kharkiv sector, intense fighting persists south of Vovchansk. Russian units have advanced in Vovchanski Khutora and the forest near Liman. They have also captured part of Staritsa and are continuing their offensive in the Buhrovatka and Hrafskyi area. In the Konstantynivka sector, there has been an increase in activity on the northern flank. The Russian army has captured most of the Maiske settlement, and assault groups are advancing within Konstantynivka itself toward a key bridge and the railway station. In the Sumy sector, Russian assault groups advanced up to 500 meters in several areas. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, after an attempted Ukrainian landing failed, units concentrated on reaching Zaliznychne and expanding the control zone near the Malokaterynivka estuary. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš stated that the country can no longer provide Ukraine with direct funding from the state budget.

Kharkiv Sector

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian units are conducting active offensive operations along most fronts. The most intense fighting is occurring in areas south of Vovchansk.

In the Vovchanski Khutora area, Russian assault groups advanced, capturing several fortified positions, including a section of a street near the Vovcha River. They advanced up to 100 meters on this section. In Staritsa, nearly half of the village is under Russian control. Advances were also noted in tree plantations on two sections. Clearing operations were conducted in the forested area between the settlements of Buhrovatka and Prylypka.

In the forest near Liman, Russian units drove formations out of part of the Tatar Forest, capturing one strongpoint. The advance here amounted to 250 meters. Combat actions are shifting towards the Hrafskyi settlement. In the same area, Ukrainian forces attempted a counterattack with three composite assault groups, but it was repelled. In order to replenish losses and prepare for new attacks, the opposing side’s command continues to reinforce its units, including by shortening training periods.

Konstantynivka Sector

In the Konstantynivka sector, combat has intensified along the northern flank. Russian units have captured most of Maiske, a settlement in the area. Meanwhile, disparate groups remain on the northern outskirts of the settlement.

Inside Konstantynivka, Russian assault groups are advancing within the city limits. They have approached the bridge on the T-05-04 road, and fighting continues on the approaches to the railway station. There has also been an advance east of the city. Part of the strongpoints between the settlements of Predtechyne and Konstantynivka, where Ukrainian units were previously located, have been captured.

Sumy Sector

Russian assault units are advancing deeper into Sumy Oblast. Aviation and artillery are providing support to the advancing groups. In response to the offensive, Ukrainian command is redeploying additional forces to the area and strengthening defensive lines.

During the reporting period, advances were recorded on four sections in the Sumy district and two sections in the Krasnopillia district. The total advance was up to 500 meters. In the area around the Hrabovske settlement, two assault groups attempted a counterattack; however, it was repelled. Artillery units struck areas of troop concentration and positions near the settlements of Ryzhivka and Pavlivka.

Zaporizhzhia Sector

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian units maintain the initiative. After taking control of Huliaipole, the Ukrainian military tried to establish a new defensive line along the Haichur River. However, they were unable to secure this position.

Despite difficult weather conditions, the Ukrainian military leadership attempted a tactical landing in the Rivnopillia area on the eastern riverbank. The calculation based on limited visibility proved to be unjustified as the movement was promptly detected by Russian drone operators. The Ukrainian landing groups were blocked in tree plantations and destroyed by artillery fire. Some of the servicemen surrendered.

Currently, Russian units are focusing on reaching the fortified node in Zaliznychne. Controlling this area is important for containing possible counterattacks. Meanwhile, the expansion of the control zone continues in the Malokaterynivka Estuary area near the Prymorske settlement on the southern bank of the Konka River.

Slaviansk Sector

Russian troops continue to advance west of the previously captured Siversk. In the north, the main effort is focused on overcoming resistance in strongholds around Zakotne. In the south, fighting continues around Reznykivka. The Russian command considers the Slaviansk Power Station a priority target. They maintain the tactic of impacting logistics by controlling movement routes and destroying equipment and personnel. Ukrainian units are actively using various types of drones.

Pokrovsk Sector

Russian units continue to clear the Myrnohrad area, where Ukrainian fighters are hiding in residential buildings. Establishing control over the city creates conditions for the offensive to continue towards Dobropillia. Control of the Volnyi and Novoskhove settlements has been confirmed. Assault units are advancing toward Novyi Donbas and Bilytske, putting pressure on the defense.

Kupyansk Sector

Information is coming in about the Ukrainian command’s attempts to redeploy additional forces, including armored vehicles, to the suburbs of Kupyansk to prepare new attacks. The equipment is being transported in small groups to minimize vulnerability. However, Russian drone operators often detect such movements. Maintaining positions within the city limits and on the approaches requires the Ukrainian command to constantly supply resources. Successes in this city over the past few months have been the only ones for the Ukrainian military leadership.

Conclusion

In the Kharkiv sector, the offensive continues with advances in Vovchanski Khutora and the capture of part of Staritsa, as well as the clearing of forested areas near Buhrovatka. The offensive is also developing towards Hrafskyi from the Tatar Forest. In the Konstantynivka sector, the intensification of fighting on the northern flank led to the capture of most of Maiske and the advance of assault groups into Konstantynivka itself, towards key transportation hubs. In the Sumy sector, assault groups advanced up to 500 meters despite the Ukrainian command’s redeployment of prepared reserves for counterattacks. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, after the failed landing attempt in Rivnopillia, efforts are focused on reaching the fortified area of Zaliznychne and expanding control near the Malokaterynivka estuary. In the Slaviansk sector, combat intensity remains high in the Zakotne and Reznykivka areas. In the Pokrovsk sector, Myrnohrad is being cleared, and the offensive toward Dobropillia is advancing. In the Kupyansk sector, there is local activity with Ukrainian units attempting to build up their forces for new attacks.

These military efforts are taking place amid growing economic and political challenges in several European countries that have traditionally provided support. In a recent interview, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš stated that the country can no longer provide Ukraine with direct state budget funds, citing internal social needs such as funding school cooks and caregivers. For this reason, while the Czech Republic generally approves of the new EU aid package, it refused to provide guarantees for the 90-billion-euro loan. According to Babiš, Ukraine is unlikely to be able to repay these funds. The prime minister noted that the Czech Republic contributes to the common European budget. Regarding the future of the “Czech initiative” on ammunition and the major contract to purchase American F-35 fighter jets, Babiš said that the Security Council will make the final decision after a detailed discussion. These statements provide new insight into the situation, in which Russian military successes are accompanied by growing skepticism and financial fatigue in some European Union capitals, which could affect long-term support sustainability.
