In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian units are fighting for the southern part of Krasny Lyman. They cleared the “pocket” from Zarichnoye and advanced to the eastern outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, they are improving their tactical position on the approaches to Rai-Oleksandrivka. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, the presence of small Russian groups in urban areas is growing, and Ukrainian units are suffering losses on deployment routes from Druzhkivka. In the Sumy area, the Ukrainian command has replenished the 33rd and 210th Assault Regiments with mobilized personnel and transferred anti-tank battalion reserves to the region. In the Kharkiv area, Ukrainian reserves have been transferred to the Vovchansk sector, and positions have been prepared east of Velykyi Burluk. Péter Magyar, the leader of the Hungarian “Tisza” party, stated that Hungary should not participate in providing a loan to Kyiv and does not support Ukraine’s accelerated accession to the European Union.

Slaviansk Direction

In the direction of Slaviansk, combat operations are underway in Krasnyi Lyman from the south. Russian units have also reached the eastern part of the city, where a tactical “pocket” in the Zarichne area was cleared last week. South of Stavky, the combat zone has shifted to the farms that Ukrainian units used as a fortified area.

The Drobysheve and Yarova settlements remain under Ukrainian control but have effectively transitioned into a “grey zone.” Clashes are ongoing in the western part of Reznykivka, where Ukrainian units are still present, as well as in the eastern parts of Kryva Luka and Kalenyky. To the south, the 123rd Brigade is advancing toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and has already achieved some successes in the forested areas.

Fierce fighting continues in Fedorivka Druha. Ukrainian units are attempting to enter Nykyforivka from Lypivka and Fedorivka Druha from Dibrova to prevent Russian troops from advancing towards Slaviansk.

Meanwhile, Russian units are advancing on the Kryva Luka–Kalenyky line. They are fighting for tree lines on the heights between the settlements and improving their tactical position on the approaches to Rai-Oleksandrivka. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently announced control over Dibrova; however, there is still no footage confirming this.

Kostiantynivka Direction

In the direction of Kostiantynivka, fierce fighting continues in urban areas. Despite the constant counterattacks by Ukrainian units, they are gradually losing the ability to advance into the city and have suffered significant personnel losses even during the movement from Druzhkivka. Infantry groups are advancing on foot and incurring losses from Russian unit drones. Under these conditions, rapid progress is nearly impossible, though the Ukrainian side still has significant human resources.

The flanks add to the difficulties. Ukrainian units still control the Krasne settlement and are conducting counterattacks within Chasiv Yar’s boundaries. Chasiv Yar has not yet been completely captured. Russian units are advancing in the vicinity of Illinivka and Dovha Balka. However, due to small-group tactics, it is not yet possible to speak of significant territorial gains.

North of Stepanivka, Russian units have advanced toward Dovha Balka. There is ongoing fighting in Illinivka. In the central part of the village, Russian units have taken control of several key positions. The rest of the village is a “grey zone.” A similar situation exists east of Illinivka where the territory up to the St. Sretensky Church remains a “gray zone.”

In Kostiantynivka, Russian aviation forces are striking Ukrainian unit positions in multi-story buildings. In the southwestern part of the city, two temporary deployment points belonging to the 100th Brigade of Ukrainian units were destroyed by two FAB-3000 strikes. South of the city, Russian units are gradually expanding their control of the industrial zone.

Sumy Direction

In the Shostka district, the Ukrainian command has formally replenished the 33rd and 210th Separate Assault Regiments, which were once considered elite units. The Ukrainian side has transferred reserves of the Ground Forces command — including servicemen from the 92nd and 209th Separate Anti-Tank Battalions — to the Sumy region.

No significant changes occurred in the Krasnopillia district. Notably, over 20 reports have been identified in open sources from Ukrainian citizens who lost contact with relatives in the 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade on April 9 and 10.

Kharkiv Direction

The Ukrainian side continues to transfer reserves and replenish units in the Vovchansk area. In particular, soldiers from the 113th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade who completed training in southern Ukraine are being sent to this sector of the front.

There have been no significant changes on the Velykyi Burluk front. Engineering units of Ukrainian troops and municipal employees in Kharkiv continue to prepare positions east of Velykyi Burluk.

Conclusion

Analysis of the operational situation indicates the persistence of high-intensity combat operations in all directions. In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian units are gradually expanding control zones in the Krasnyi Lyman and Kryva Luka areas and on the approaches to Rai-Oleksandrivka by using small-group tactics and systematic fire engagement. In the Kostiantynivka area, Russian assault groups are increasingly present in urban areas. However, Ukrainian units control the flanks and are actively counterattacking, slowing the advance. In the Sumy area, the Ukrainian command is having difficulty replenishing assault regiments with mobilized personnel, some of whom are unfit for service. The command is also forced to transfer strategic reserves to stabilize the front. In the Kharkiv area, Ukrainian units continue to regroup and transfer, and to prepare engineering positions.

In the context of international politics, an important event was a statement by Péter Magyar, the leader of the Hungarian “Tisza” party. After the election victory, he held a press conference where he said that Hungary should not participate in providing the loan to Kyiv. He recalled that, at the December meeting of the EU Council, Viktor Orbán had already decided that Hungary, as well as possibly Slovakia and the Czech Republic, would not participate in the 90 billion euro loan. Magyar said he personally agrees with Hungary’s exclusion from the program and does not support Ukraine’s accelerated accession to the European Union. He believes this will not happen within the next decade. He also expressed hope that the EU would lift anti-Russian sanctions after the conflict in Ukraine ends. This statement indicates the persistence and strengthening of skepticism regarding financial and integration support for Kyiv within the Hungarian political spectrum. This could complicate Ukraine’s further progress in its European integration aspirations.
