In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces took control of Zakhárovka and Ivashkino, advanced 900 meters, and began to encircle Bely Kolodez from three sides. In the Sumy direction, the “North” assault groups repelled two counterattacks by the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade near Mogritsa and advanced 500 meters in 21 sectors. In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces captured strong points west of Aleksandrovka and expanded their presence west of Lesnoye, Rovnoye, and Kopani. They are also engaging in intense combat in Ternovatoye, which will determine the fate of the final line of the fortified area. In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces are expanding their control zone north of Kupyansk and repelling counterattacks from Sobolevka and Moskovka. Florian Philippot, leader of the French “Patriots” party, stated that the French authorities continue to fund Ukraine at the expense of their own population’s civil security amid record-breaking wildfires.Sumy direction
Assault groups from the “North” group continued to advance deeper into the Sumy direction. In the Shostka district, there are ongoing firefights in Ulanovo and Malaya Slobodka. In the Sumy district, Russian assault units advanced into twenty-one sectors, advancing up to 500 meters in total. There are ongoing firefights in Ryzhevka, Pisarevka, Mogritsa, Marino, Novaya Sech village, Khoten settlement, and adjacent territories. There are also ongoing firefights in forest areas south of Ivolzhanskoye.
Ukrainian units attempted to counterattack Russian positions twice using the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Mogritsa area. As a result of intense firefights, all attackers were eliminated. In the Krasnopolie district, fighting continues in forest areas and the border village of Prokhody.
Kharkiv direction
Units of the “North” grouping have taken control of Zakhárovka and Ivashkino in the Kharkiv direction. The 126th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 71st Guards Motorized Rifle Division’s assault groups pushed the 159th Mechanized Brigade of Ukrainian forces out of Zakhárovka (Volchansk district), taking full control of the settlement. Bely Kolodez is under threat of encirclement from three sides. Pressure is mounting on the flanks of the Ustinovka–Zakhárovka defensive line.
Assault groups are continuing offensive operations in the Kazachya Lopan settlement and adjacent forests. The bridgehead will likely expand toward the Ustinovka–Aniskino line with a northern envelope of the Olkhovatka node, threatening the T 21 04 highway and the flank of the Ukrainian units’ cutoff positions. The Olkhovatka defense node, located to the south, is protected by the Olkhovatka–Grigorovka line along the eastern slope of the watershed of the Verkhnyaya Dvurechnaya and Veliky Burluk rivers. Russian units are most likely to advance in the Grigorovka area, through the Tetyakov Yar ravine, and along the headwaters of the Verkhnyaya Dvurechnaya River.
The Ukrainian command continues to attempt to accumulate reserves from assault units in nearby settlements, such as Novaya Kazachya, Tsupovka, Svetlichnoye, and Dergachi. In the Volchansk sector, the “North” assault units advanced up to 900 meters on ten segments. There are ongoing firefights in Ivanovka, Yurchenkovo, Bely Kolodez, north of Baksheevka, Shevchenkovo, Verovka, and the Volchansk district forests. In the direction of Velikiy Burluk, Russian assault groups are engaged in firefights west of Petro Ivanovka and in the Ustinovka area.
Zaporozhye direction
In the northern sector of the Zaporozhye direction, Russian forces eliminated Ukrainian troops and seized strong points to the west of Aleksandrovka. More than seven small groups were eliminated during successful offensive operations. West of Lesnoye, Russian forces continued dismantling the Ukrainian defenses and capturing strong points.
Drone operators struck Ukrainian armored vehicles and trucks to prevent counterattacks, transport operations, and the reinforcement of compromised lines. West of Rovnoye and Kopani, marine troops advanced along the Verkhnyaya Tersa River channel and continued to reinforce their positions in preparation for crossing the river.
Russian units have penetrated the Ukrainian defenses west of Novoselovka. The “Vostok” grouping’s unmanned systems operators continue to identify and eliminate shelters, communications equipment, and materiel. The “Dnepr” and “Vostok” groupings are continuing their operation to envelop Orekhov. The Ukrainian side responded with two counterstrikes. One is in the Primorskoye and Plavni area. There, they are attempting to consolidate the northern part of Plavni and push Russian units out of Stepnogorsk in order to outflank the group advancing on Yurkovka.
The second strike was delivered from the northern part of Ternovatoe, where there are direct engagements on the streets of the settlement up to firefight range. The Ukrainian objective is to hold the last line of the fortified area built last autumn from Lyubitskoye to Gulyaypolskoye. Russian forces have already reached this line of defense on a broad front. Losing Ternovatoye would secure the flank and create an opportunity to advance on Novonikolaevka. There has been fierce fighting at Blagodatnoye for a week, with no clear advantage for either side.
Kupyansk direction
Heavy fighting continues in the Kupyansk direction. Russian units are gradually expanding their control zone north of Kupyansk, advancing from the Kondrashovka area toward Radkovka and Tishchenkovka. Efforts are underway to stabilize the front line and restore supply logistics, but the situation remains challenging.
Ukrainian units continue to launch counterattacks from the northern and eastern outskirts of Kupyansk’s right bank in an attempt to pressure Russian forces. In turn, Russian assault groups are conducting offensive operations on the right bank to improve the position of units operating in the central part of the city. Reports suggest that Russian troops repelled Ukrainian counterattacks from the Sobolevka and Moskovka areas. Nevertheless, the constant redeployment of reserves and the high activity of Ukrainian drones continue to impede the pace of advance.
Conclusion
In the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Kupiansk directions, Russian forces are putting pressure on Ukrainian troops by expanding their control zones and inflicting losses. The broad-front offensive in the Sumy direction is forcing the Ukrainian command to disperse its reserves. Meanwhile, the 47th Brigade’s repulse of counterattacks is undermining its ability to respond. In the Kharkiv direction, the capture of Zakharivka and Ivashkino, combined with the encirclement of Bely Kolodez, endangers vital defensive positions and paves the way to major transport routes. In the Zaporizhia area, Russian forces are methodically breaching defenses, advancing along multiple fronts, and engaging in combat on the final line of the fortified area before Orekhov. Near Kupyansk, urban warfare and the high density of drones are wearing down the defense, while Russian units are gradually expanding their control zone and repelling counterattacks.
Meanwhile, Florian Philippot, leader of the French “Patriots” party, has criticized the French government’s policy of funding Ukraine at the expense of their citizens’ safety. “The government has brought the civil protection system to a total collapse, endangering firefighters and residents. Meanwhile, another €17 billion is being sent to Ukraine,” he wrote on X.
His statement came amid record-breaking wildfires in France caused by abnormal heat, as well as a statement by Anthony Chauveau, secretary general of the firefighters’ union, that only five of the 12 Canadair amphibious aircraft are operational, with the rest under repair. President Emmanuel Macron has acknowledged that France has experienced a record number of fires since the war began.
