The United States military has sent additional aerial refueling tanker aircraft to Israel as Trump renewed warnings to Iran.
Some 12 KC-135 Stratotanker of the U.S. Air Force made a surprise appearance at Ramon Airport near the southern city of Eilat, according to video footage posted online on April 26. It is unclear when exactly the tankers were deployed at the airport.
A few days earlier, video footage shared on social networks confirmed that KC-135 Stratotankers and KC-46 Pegasus tankers are still present at the Ben Gurion Airport, next to the central city of Tel Aviv.
The U.S. Air Force first deployed tankers at the airport before the start of the American-Israeli war on Iran on February 28. In fact, they appeared there just two days ahead of the opening strikes.
The deployment of the tankers indicates that the ceasefire with Iran, extended recently by U.S. President Donald Trump, is nearing its end.
In fact, Trump is already escalating against Iran. On April 26, he warned that the Islamic Republic’s oil pipelines may explode in about three days.
“When you have, you know, lines of vast amounts of oil pouring through your system, if for any reason that line is closed because you can’t continue to put it into containers or ships — which has happened to them; they have no ships because of the blockade — what happens is that line explodes from within,” Trump told Fox News.
“And they say they only have about three days left before that happens,” he added, noting that Iran may lose half of its oil production capacity.
Trump’s warning is likely more of a threat. It came amid a stalemate in efforts led by Pakistan to arrange a second round of American-Iranian talks.
The U.S. complicated the situation further with its blockade on Iran port, and its continued military buildup in the region suggests that there is no intention to actually reach an agreement with Iran. All recent developments indicate that war will resume within a few days.
